Youth Weekend 2024

Our first ever Blank Canvas Weekend Away took place in August 2024 at Wydale Hall.  This was a huge step for Blank Canvas, with the first line of our vision as a charity being, 

'Giving every young person in Redcar the opportunity to know the hope of Jesus'

The team shared over the weekend about identity, who the world says young people are are VS who God says they are.

Over the last few years five minute sessions at the end of youth clubs have been full of noise, conversation and a small amount of listening, yet we prayed and took a step of faith to have 4 sessions that lasted 90 minutes, full of creativity, testimonies, stories and reflection. Our hearts were full as every young person was captivated across all four sessions - you could have heard a pin drop, and the whisper of God moving through their hearts. 

Many of the young people chose to be prayed for during the weekend, with a number of them sharing how they felt God met with them as they were prayed for.

There was so much joy and fun throughout the weekend, from capture the Flag in the dark, eating like royalty, not much sleep, campfire songs and leaders against youth football game, it's fair to say we're ready for Youth Weekend Away 2025!
