Welcome Jude!

Jude arrived in the UK last week from First Woodway Baptist Church, Texas. His gap year is a partnership between Blank Canvas and Redcar Baptist Church.

Jude says, 

I’m thrilled to finally have made it to Redcar! I can’t wait to see how the Lord will reveal Himself to me over the next nine months. I love youth work and coming to Redcar to work for Blank Canvas was the perfect opportunity for me!

My first week in Redcar has been fantastic! 

Getting settled in didn’t take long and I’ve enjoyed getting to immediately jump into all the weekly events going on. 

I started with Youth Alpha and it was so great to see the young people being open to having conversations around forgiveness, particularly in regards to faith. Wednesday lunch was Fish and Chips (of course), and in the evening I helped out with the Kids Club at Redcar Baptist Church and then went over to Redcar College and played some football with The Welcome Project.

Thursday I was in the Blank Canvas office and then went to my first of many Youth Clubs. On my days off (Friday and Saturday) I took some time to catch up on some sleep, had dinner with Abi and Jonny and picked up my visa. 

Sunday weekend went well and I really enjoyed being able to go to church and see all the people that I've met on my past trips here!

I’m so excited to be here and can’t wait to experience all that God has for me!
